Presented by: Deborah Antinori MA, LPC

Deborah Antinori, MA, LPC is a Licensed Professional Counselor with 31 years in private practice. She is a Brainspotting Consultant and a Senior US BSP Trainer, with 20 years of experience in Brainspotting. She is a member of David Grand’s New York supervision group. Deborah is the author of the double award winning audiobook, Journey Through Pet Loss, and has a chapter on Grief and BSP in The Power of Brainspotting: An International Anthology. As a grief therapist, she has a Fellowship in Thanatology from the Association for Death Education and Counseling. Deborah has been using Brainspotting since its inception, having been a trainee of David Grand’s in Natural Flow EMDR since 1998.
Deb Antinori and Monika Baumann explore how the Dual Attunement Frame supports work with survivors of trauma in times of crisis. Case examples will be shared, and Deb will relate the types of symptoms, emotions and behaviors which indicate particular areas of brain arousal.
The regulatory networks Damir del Monte has described at the 2021 International BSP Conference will be discussed in relation to using BSP with these clients in crisis, as will the neurochemical systems that produce stress chemicals, on one hand, and regulating/calming chemicals on the other.
Our relational focus in Brainspotting is paramount in accessing the regulating systems, and the more resourced ways of working assist us in using the neurobiological aspects of the visual field and connections to integration and memory brain systems (i.e Gazespotting, and the various resource setups – Body Resource, Triple Resource, Z-Axis, One Eye Resource, shades up/shades down).
This webinar has been organized by Brainspotting Help Humanitarian Project to support healing for those affected by the war in Ukraine. Donations will provide free-of-charge therapy for survivors of war trauma and refugees, as well as fund training and professional support of mental health workers and volunteers on the ground in Europe.
