Brainspotting Help relies on a global network of dedicated volunteer clinicians and local coordinators.
Our volunteers are experienced mental health professionals offering pro bono online support, ensuring help during a crisis is accessible quickly, regardless of geographical location.
And our local coordinators ensure our support is culturally sensitive and consistent with the unique needs of their respective communities.
How We Help / Support FAQ's
How can I request support?
-
Please visit one of the dedicated support pages through GET HELP on our main menu or visit our general support page
-
Fill out a short request form providing information about you and your preferences to ensure that our coordinator can connect you with the most appropriate professional who can best assist you.
-
We appreciate your patience while our coordinator works to arrange your support and connects you to one of our practitioners. Most of the time this connection takes 1-2 days, however sometimes it may take up to one week depending on the number of referrals we are receiving. However, we will do our best to connect you as soon as possible.
How many sessions will I get?
Our support model is based on short-term crisis intervention, typically encompassing 5 to 10 sessions. Individual needs vary and the specific number of sessions you will be offered depends on the initial assessment of your support person.
How can I help establish support for my community?
Support is available everywhere where we have a local coordinator. If you have experience in mental health support or clinical social work, your community is affected by a crisis and you, or someone you know, would like to volunteer to coordinate support in your community please get in touch via our contact form or by writing to: help@brainspottinghelp.com
