To guarantee the highest level of confidentiality for our applicants, all of your personal details (such as your email, full name, phone number, and messenger contact information) are strictly hidden from general staff members and system administrators. Your information is stored in password-protected, encrypted files. It is only accessible to your assigned therapist and translator to facilitate session delivery, and, on an as-needed basis only, to a designated coordinator, strictly when it is necessary for our coordinator to communicate with you directly for the purposes of matching you with a mental health professional.

5. Donations and Payment Processing

When you make a donation through our platform, your transaction is processed entirely off-site. We partner with Stripe Inc. to manage secure invoicing and payment gateways.

Brainspotting Help does not collect or store your payment card numbers or bank account credentials.
Stripe is certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1 (the highest standard in the payment industry) and secures all transactional communication using AES-256 and HTTPS/SSL encryption protocols.
By executing a payment, you agree to comply with both this policy and Stripe's independent privacy guidelines.

6. Data Security and Retention

We deploy industry-standard electronic, technological, and administrative security measures, including firewalls, encryption protocols, and Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology, to prevent unauthorized access, loss, alteration, or disclosure of data.

Your personal records are stored on secure servers protected by advanced firewall systems. We retain your personal data only as long as necessary to complete your specific requests, manage volunteer agreements, or comply with our organizational legal and regulatory archiving obligations. While we maintain rigorous security protections, no digital system is completely immune to breach; by utilizing our Services, you acknowledge these inherent global network risks.
