Mission Statement
Individuals suffering from the impact of war and disasters are most in need of emotional healing but often are least likely to get mental health support.
Our mission is to improve access to the healing power of Brainspotting for individuals and communities experiencing profound trauma and suffering due to war and disasters.

Brainspotting Help Foundation is a non-profit humanitarian organization registered in the National Court Register in Poland (KRS), in the Register of Associations, Other Social and Professional Organizations, Foundations and Independent Public Health Care Institutions, under a KRS number: 0001058077.
Brainspotting Help organizes free psychological support for communities impacted by war or natural disasters:
-
connecting affected individuals with mental health volunteers
-
organizing consultation groups and specialty trainings in Brainspotting treatment of post-disaster trauma for mental health professionals serving communities in crisis

History of Brainspotting Help

When the invasion of Ukraine forced millions of women and children to flee to neighboring countries, a group of European Brainspotting trainers felt compelled to act. Recognizing the immense pressure and trauma faced by first responders and volunteers assisting these refugees, they organized a webinar titled "How to Support in Crisis; Powerful Brainspotting Insights." The goal was to equip these individuals with valuable techniques to better support the refugees in their care.
Concurrently, more than 150 volunteers have signed up to offer free Brainspotting sessions to affected individuals in Ukraine and refugees. The initiative expanded to include free consultation groups for Ukrainian therapists, further amplifying the project's impact.
In the wake of the devastating Maui fires, we have expanded our support services to include survivors of this tragedy. Additionally, thanks to our dedicated volunteer coordinators, we've established support systems for survivors of Hurricane Helene and the Southern California wildfires.
We are deeply grateful for the dedication and support of volunteer clinicians, consultants, coordinators and donors who make this project possible.
